Individual automated guided transport


The study analyses the Individual Automated Guided Transport (IAGT), with the aim to overcome the inherent weaknesses of collective public transport systems. IAGT is a public system transport service completely automated, on demand, without stops and making use of small vehicles independent, always available on a network of lines protected by lane guides, which are characterized by small size.

It is sustainable transport systems as no emissions of pollutants and low power consumption. They, also require limited space and contribute significantly to the reduction of traffic flows on road network.

In particular are described and compared between their advantages and limitations of many systems built or designed with comparison tables of technical characteristics, performance and costs of both investment and operation and maintenance.
